Today you get a two fer post. Lucky you.
I just couldn't let this story get away from me. It will forever be documented on the internets.
Can I just say we have the world's lamest tooth fairy? She must have problems flying in the rain, because she can't seem to make it to our house on the nights it rains. Sometimes she can't make it on clear nights, either, so she must have night blindness or something. Poor tooth fairy.
And poor Maggie. Her tooth fell out, literally fell out into my hand, yesterday before school, and she was so excited to have the tooth fairy come last night. Now she's all disappointed, and I have to call our tooth fairy directory and ask to have a new fairy assigned to us because ours keeps letting my kids down. So obviously, this isn't the first time she hasn't made it.
I have a feeling this lame tooth fairy is going to end up costing more than just a tooths worth. You know, punitive damages and pain and suffering and all that legal mumbo jumbo.
Does your tooth fairy ever let your kids down? Does she suffer from night blindness or rain issues like mine?

We had a fairy a couple years ago that forgot us a couple times. Poor kids. My kids lost 3 teeth while we were in Texas and the fairies there on on top of things....and gave out more money. :)
Oh yes, but our kids love our tooth fairy because one time she meant to pull a $5 bill out of the wallet but got a $20 instead and didn't notice. Imagine the surprise to me when McKinley said she got $20! Whoops! So, they are content to wait for her to come in hopes she will give them $20 on accident.
Our tooth fairy wrote a note with some bucks attached and said,"I'm too busy with all the new kids, so this is for all future teeth." Needless to say the child was angry and demanded to know the truth and what other lies have we been telling her, ie Santa.
Our toothfairy forgot so many times that Madison figured it out. Then she figured out some other things too...
Our tooth fairy has done the same thing! I don't know if she's joined a union and gone on strike but MAN she's forgetful or maybe tired!
Our tooth fairy always seems to be on vacation when our kids lose teeth.
Once Aspen lost her tooth and didn't tell me. When I found out, I told her to write the tooth fairy a note. She said she already had. It had been 2 weeks since she lost the tooth. (Am I a bad mom for not noticing - granted it was a molar.) I guess if she was losing molars she was old enough to figure that one out.
The best story is about the time Toby swallowed his tooth. So he made a fake tooth to put under his pillow.
The tooth fairy left him fake money.
Our tooth fairy finally started leaving a stash where she knew she could always go for the cash. She brings gold dollars...this way they don't become spending money for the other fairies living in the place.
Oh my gosh that is so my mom. I think Tevin has been waiting a few weeks for the dang tooth fairy to come. haha! Maybe they are all on vacation, or strike or something:)
I remembered at midnight, and had to drag my sorry bum out of bed to perform my duties. I forgot once with one of Ethan's teeth...you're not alone!
